Searles Motor Products - Novice Rep, 2010-2011 (Ingersoll & District Minor Hockey)

Since the last writing, the Searles Motor Products Novice Rep team have completed their Southern Counties Minor Hockey playoff round robin, and are preparing for their berth in the semi-finals.

Since the last update, the Searles Motor Products Novice Rep Ingersoll Express have played a number of games, both OMHA and SCMHA playoffs. On Saturday, February 12, the team travelled to Port Colborne to take on the Sailors in the opener of a best of 5 series.  The team played excellent, and the game went right down to the wire.  Port Colborne ended up with the win, 4-3 in overtime.  Scoring for Ingersoll were Keegan Purdy, Parker Hodgson and Nolan Adkins.  Assists were tallied by Hodgson (2), Brennan Rupert, Daytn Racicot, Daniel Martineau, and Purdy.

A great week for the Searles Motor Products Ingersoll Express Novice Rep team began on Sunday, Feb. 5, when the team hosted the Paris Wolfpack.  The game featured a great outing by both Express goaltenders.  After a scoreless first period, Parker Hodgson got Ingersoll on the board early in the second.  The play continued with end to end action, but neither team could find the back of the net.  Midway through the third period, Nolan Adkins added an insurance marker with a nifty end to end rush.  Final score - Ingersoll 2, Paris 0.  Assists went to Aidan Berto and Keegan Purdy.

Thursday, February 3, the Searles Motor Products Novice Rep team took to the ice in Glanbrook for a match against the host Glanbrook Rangers as part of the OMHA Playoff Round Robin.  A win would assure the Express a spot in the elimination round of the playoffs, and the boys new it was a big game.

The Searles Motor Products Ingersoll Express novice rep team began their OMHA playoffs this week with games against 2 of their 4 round robin opponents.  The first game saw Ingersoll travel to Paris to take on the Wolfpack.  Ingersoll got on the board midway through the first, with a great second effort by Ethan Vlemmix.
