One and One to start the New Year
The Searles Motor Products Ingersoll Express novice rep team started off 2011 with game in Glanbrook on Sunday, January 2. The kids played very well in a hard fought game, against a very evenly matched opponent in Glanbrook. Unfortunately, Glanbrook got the best of the Express team, taking the game in a close 3-1 game. The Express get their chance at redemption though with both league and OMHA playoff games looming against Glanbrook.
On Thursday, January 6 the Searles Motor Products Ingersoll Express returned home to host the Norwich Knighthawks. Ingersoll started off potting a quick one. Norwich didn't give up though, and continued to pressure Ingersoll. The score went back and forth, with Ingersoll going ahead and Norwich tying it up. Ingersoll kept up the pressure on the Norwich netminder, and in proved to be too much. In the end, Ingersoll skated away with a 6-3 victory.
Searles Motor Products Ingersoll Express Novice Rep next play on Sunday, January 16, when they are slated to host Port Colborne in the first game of the OMHA playoff round robin. Ingersoll will play Aylmer, Port Colborne, Paris and Glanbrook in the round robin. SCMHA playoff info to follow.
