It wasn't perfect, but the 2021-2022 hockey season has come to an end. Other than a pause in play for most of January, the season went off without much of a hitch, and your U15 Rep squad had a very strong season overall. It all starts with an amazing coaching staff that included Head Coach Greg Franklin, Coach Rick Arts, Coach Brad Underwood and Trainer Garrett King. All four of these gentlemen made a strong commitment to playing the right way, held the kids accountable and were indeed a positive influnce on each and every young man on this squad.

Again, the boys made us proud with their effort against a very strong team from South Muskoka. We took the lead early as Josh Robles scored 32 seconds into the game, but the Bears were able to tie the score to end the period. South Muskoka scored three unanswered in the second frame to take a 4-1 lead into the final period. The boys gave it their all, but in the end, we would walk away with a 5-1 loss, thus ending our chances to advance in the tournament. We will get a chance to get a win under our belt vs Erin Hillsburgh tomorrow morning. A shout out to Tanner Belore who kept us in this game with some great saves tonight. Let's go out with our heads held high tomorrow Express!

The boys dropped a tough one, 2-0 to Kawartha Coyotes to open the OMHA championships in Barrie. We gave up two late in the period and went into the 2nd down by two. We were able to swing the momentum our way, but even with several good scoring chances, we could not beat the strong netminder at the other end. Jaxon Pinard played a fantastic game for the Express, who need to wait until 6pm to see if they can change their fortunes vs Erin Hillsburgh, who opened the tournament with an 11-1 loss to South Muskoka. Good luck tonight Boys!

The U15 Louie's Pizza and Pasta squad headed into Ayr looking to clinch a series win, and also secure a chance to play in the OMHA Tournament next weekend in Barrie. This was going to be a little more difficult as we were seriously shorthanded as Colton MacPherson, Ethan Kish, Noah Muller and Dylan Craib were all unavailable to play. Logan Pare joined the team tonight from the Dove Dental squad to support us in what we hoped was going to be the final game of the 4pt series vs Ayr, coming off a 4-2 win Tuesday.
