GM# 5 - Warriors Tournament - Express eliminated in OT
The U15 Rep squad gave it their all this morning as they met Collingwood in the semifinals of the Garden City Warriors Tournament. As they have done all weekend, they dominated a majority of the play, but the bounces just were not going our way and we were eliminated with 2.7 seconds left in the first overtime frame 4-3.
We would be down 3-1 going into the third, but battled back to tie the game, and had several chances to take the lead late in the game, but just could not buy that one more goal we needed. In overtime, we threw everything we had at them, but in the end, a tough break as they were able to slide one by Tanner Belore, who played a strong game between the pipes today.Josh Robles, Eli North and Westin Matsumoto were the goal scorers today.
In the end, this team played with the heart and determination that made us all proud. They may have deserved better, but in the end it just was not meant to be this weekend. This was a great tune up for our playoff series vs Ayr that starts up Tuesday night at home.
