GM#2 - Express clinch a birth to the OMHA's with win.
The U15 Louie's Pizza and Pasta squad headed into Ayr looking to clinch a series win, and also secure a chance to play in the OMHA Tournament next weekend in Barrie. This was going to be a little more difficult as we were seriously shorthanded as Colton MacPherson, Ethan Kish, Noah Muller and Dylan Craib were all unavailable to play. Logan Pare joined the team tonight from the Dove Dental squad to support us in what we hoped was going to be the final game of the 4pt series vs Ayr, coming off a 4-2 win Tuesday.
Starting in net was Jaxon Pinard, who played a strong game, earning himself a shutout as we walked out of Ayr with a 3-0 victory. Even though we were heavily outshot, we played a very strong defensive game, and kept a lot of their chances out on the perimeter of the i
ce, as Jaxon had great visibility, and strong rebound control all evening.
Westin Matsumoto, Josh Robles and Eli North were the goal scorers for the Express this evening, as we now must wait to see where we seed in the 12 team field. At this moment, we seem to be unsure if there will be a Southern Counties Final vs Delhi or not. Regardless, the boys had one more adventure to prepare for. Congratulations boys on your big win tonight and cannot wait to see what noise you plan on making in Barrie next weekend.
