GM #4 - Warriors Tournament - Express win big.
The U15 Rep team, sponsored by Louie's Pizza and Pasta closed out the round robin portion of the Warriors Tournament with a decisive victory vs Halton Hills. This game had a little bit of everything, but in the end the boys got the job done and clinched top spot in their pool with a 3-0-1 record, and a date tomorrow morning against Collingwood.

The boys started fine, but found themselves down 2-0 after a couple of quick goals by Halton Hills. Once the period ended, the coaching staff rallied the boys to the bench and reinforced to keep playing and their was a lot of hockey left. Halton Hills, who had gone winless all weekend, and this being their last game of the season, looked to be a bit more interested in getting some licks in rather than play the game, and for the most part our boys did a good job in focusing on the end result and that was making sure the scoreboard read in our favour, and indeed it did at the end of the game.

We scored 7 unanswered goals as we chose not to take the foot off the gas. Josh Robles and Eli North each scored twice with other tallies by Westin Matsumoto, Ethan Kish and Colton Macpherson. This team was clearly not happy with their start, and similar to their earlier game, showed how strong this team can be when they play Express hockey. Regardless of what is yet to come this weekend, these boys should be extremely proud of how they showed up each and every game and had each others back. We are always going to have team members that are going to have an off game, take an irresponsible penalty or make the odd bad decision. What makes this group special is they always seem to find a way to pick up one another, no matter what. As a fan of the game, and this team specifically, it's truly fantastic to see and be a part of game in and game out. Wishing this great group of kids nothing but success as they hopefully navigate their way to a berth in the final tomorrow.

All the best to the Express!!
