GM #1 - Semi Final - Ingersoll wins game 1 vs Ayr
The U15 Rep team, fresh off a great tournament weekend in St. Catharines were back in their home barn to face the Ayr Flames in game 1 of a first to 4 point series. Tanner Belore was called upon to tend the net tonight, as we were going to have to go to battle without two key contributors, Colton Macpherson and Kian Brown. The boys as they have all season continue to face adversity, they were ready to go full out to get those important first two points of the series.

The game did not really start the way we wanted as Josh Robles received a two minute minor for head contact, and then was assessed a misconduct for arguing the play. The boys tightened up the d-zone and killed the penalty. We would open the scoring late in the first as Jeremy Stiles buried one past the Ayr netminder. As the momentum continued to build, Noah Muller found himself alone in front of the net and scored our second goal, with assists being awarded to Jonah Martine and Ethan Kish.

Even though we continued our strong play in the second, it was Ayr that stormed back with two unanswered goals on Belore, setting up an exciting third period.

In the third, either team could find much space as both ends of the ice were defended well, with either team wanting to give up that third goal. It was with just over four minutes to play, Kish was fed a pass from Muller, and scored a huge goal to put the home side up by 1. With their net empty for the extra attacker, defenseman Ryan Wolfe found a bit of open ice on the his opposite side and slid the puck into the empty cage for the game clinching goal. The Express walked away with a 4-2 win, and hope they can clinch the series on the road Friday in Ayr.

Congratulations also goes out the the U-15 Dove Dental squad, who beat the New Hamburg Huskies 4pts to 0, and cliched a birth to the OMHA championship tournament next week in Windsor. Best of luck boys.
