Atom Brokerlink Rep Team Continue Series with Simcoe
The Atom team would travel to Simcoe on Sunday January 17th to play game 2 of the first round of the OMHA playdowns.
The boys would skate hard and battle for every puck for the entire 35 minutes of the game 2, but would be shut out by the Simcoe goalie and would suffer a tough 1-0 loss.
Simcoe would return to Ingersoll on Monday January 18th to play game 3 of the OMHA series. Simcoe would manage to jump out to a 3-0 lead heading into the 3rd period. However, Ingersoll would score at 11:33 of the 3rd when Tyler Watts would find Adam VanDyk who would get a shot on net, creating a rebound and Cohen Alexander would bury the rebound making the game 3-1. This, unfortunately, would be as close as Ingersoll would get as Simcoe would secure both the game and series win with an empty net goal, for a final score of 4-1.
The boys will now turn their focus back to their Southern Counties Playoff run that will continue on Thursday January 21st when they will host the Tillsonburg Tornadoes
