Atom Brokerlink Rep Team Play in Silverstick
The Atom Brokerlink Rep team would travel to Alvinston between Christmas and New Year's to participate in the 2015 Regional Silverstick Tournament.
The boys would start the tournament on December 27th, facing Wallaceburg. Through this first game of play the Express boys would work out the Christmas cob webs, although fighting hard and playing with determination they would be shut out by Wallaceburg, losing a tough 1-0 game to start the tournament.
On December 28th the boys would head back to Alvinston to play a very talented and tough opponent in the Lambeth Lancers team at 11:00am. The boys would suffer a tough 5-0.
Then at 3:30, the Brokerlink Atom Express would take on Petrolia. Petrolia would get on the scoreboard first with a goal in the first period. The Express train would roll in to tie the game at the 6 minute mark of the 2nd period with a goal from Landon Skevington assisted by Cohen Alexander. However, 30 seconds later, Petrolia would answer back to pull ahead 2-1. The Express train would travel back to tie the game 2-2 at 4:07 of the second period when Alexander would bang in rebound, assisted by Willie Parsons and Jax Nguyen. The 3rd period would be a scoreless period of hockey, with both teams goalies shutting out their opponent, ending the game in a 2-2 tie. Unfortunately, the Express boys would not move onto the next round of the tournament.
The boys will start their Southern Counties playoff run on Wednesday January 6th when they will travel to Caledonia to take on the Thunder.
Their next home game and game 2 of the playoff run will be Thursday January 7th when they will host the Paris Wolf Pack at 7:00pm at the Ingersoll District Memorial Centre
