Atom Express Rep Out on the Road
The Brokerlink Atom Rep team has been playing on the road this week. They travelled to Plattsville on Saturday November 21 and then to Delhi on Tuesday November 24.
On November 21st, the express would play the Plattsville Rage on their home ice. Plattsville would score early in the first period to pull ahead 1-0. The Ingersoll boys would answer back with 2 goals in the first period, the first one coming at 7:20 scored by Willie Parsons and assisted by Cohen Alexander. At 1:18 of the first, Alexander would score assisted by Parsons, giving the Express a 2-1 lead heading into the second period. The second period would see no scoring by either team, however, in the third Ingersoll would answer with three more goals. Tyler Watts, at 12:48 of the third period, would score the first goal assisted by Jax Nguyen and Alexander. Goals 4 and 5 for Ingersoll would be scored by Alexander at 12:18 and 6:01 in the period assisted by Watts and Cam Freeman. The Atom Rep Ingersoll Express would walk away from Plattsville with a 5-1 victory.
Then on November 24, the Express would travel to Delhi to face the Rockets. This game would see a lot of back and forth for both teams through two periods of play, with both goalies shutting out the opposing teams offense. With a 0-0 tie heading into the third period, the fans would see lots of action in the 3rd. Cohen Alexander would start the scoring at 11:38 of the period, assisted by Tyler Watts, to put Ingersoll ahead 1-0. At 5:12, Alexander would find the back of the Rockets net again, with an unassisted goal. Then, to put the Express ahead 3-0 in the 3rd period, Alexander would make a long stretch pass to Watts who would make no mistake beating the Rockets goalie at 4:54 of the 3rd period. However, this game was far from over as, 50 seconds later, Delhi would answer back to pull within 2 goals. Just over a minute later, Delhi would find the back of the net again at 2:59 of the third period to make it a 3-2 game. Just 20 seconds later Delhi would tie up the game 3-3, and that is how the game would end in a 3-3 draw.
The Brokerlink Atom Express Rep team will return home to host the Hagersville Hawks on Thursday November 26th at 7:00pm at the Ingersoll Arena
