Express Out Shine Stars
The Brokerlink Atom Express Rep team hosted the Cayuga Stars tonight and the train was full steam ahead out shining and out shooting the stars in a 3-0 victory.
The first period was evenly matched with neither the Express or the Stars scoring a goal. However, it would be the Ingersoll Express to put the first goal on the scoreboard at 9:29 of the second period on an unassisted goal by Ty Shapton. Express goaltender, Nate White, would shut out the stars through 2 periods of play before turning the net over to Ewan Spence for the the 3rd period. Spence would continue to shut out the Stars in the 3rd period, allowing the Express to earn a 3-0 win. The Express would score 2 goals in the 3rd period, the first would come at 14:07 when Cohen Alexander would find his defenceman, Adam VanDyk, in the slot who would power a back hander past the stars goalie putting the Express ahead 2-0. The 3rd goal would find the back of the net at 7:25 of the 3rd period when Landon Skevington would make no mistake, going bar down assisted by Brody Williams and Shapton, putting the Express ahead 3-0.
The Atom Brokerlink Express will travel to Plattsville on Saturday Novemeber 21 at 1:10pm to play their next game.
