The Heat is on, as the team keeps their fire burning!
Wednesday February 12th Ingersoll’s Verspeeten Cartage/Carmeuse Lime Pee Wee LL team headed to Port Dover. 
period started off with Ingersoll taking the lead and scoring their first goal in the first 3 min with Camden McDougall assisting Nathan Graham.  With 3 min left on the clock Port Dover scores to bring it to a tie.  With the end of the period coming fast, Matthew Debruyn and Camden McDougall assist Ethan Vlemmix in scoring goal #2 with only 11.3 seconds on the clock!!  Ingersoll takes the lead! 

Second period starts and Owen Longlade assists Nolan Costa with goal #3 as he slides it between the goalies legs.  Three minutes later Matthew Debruyn scores an unassisted goal #4.  Port Dover goes on the offense to score a second goal.  Colin Dench and Matthew Debruyn make a nice pass over to Nathan Graham to end the second period with a 5-2 lead. Third period has Port Dover on the defense to hold Ingersoll to their 3 goal lead. Halfway through Kiara Haley and Camden McDougall assist Nathan Graham in scoring a hat trick!!  For the next goal, Kiara Haley and Nathan Graham make a beautiful pass to Camden McDougall who scores Ingersoll’s 7th goal with only 1 second left on the clock!  Way to go team!

Friday February 14th, the team hosted  Thamesford for a home game in the Carmeuse Lime Tournament at I.D.M.C.  Nathan Graham assisted Camden McDougall for Ingersoll halfway through the first period to end the period with Ingersoll in the lead. Thamesford goes on the offense and comes back hard.  They manage to slide one through halfway through the second period. With only 23 seconds on the clock, Ethan Laporte assists Camden McDougall with goal number 2, once again giving Ingersoll the lead.  Puck drop and they are off and skating.  Less then a minute in and Ingersoll does it again with Ethan Laporte and Colin Dench assisting Keegan Purdy with goal number 3! Thamesford goes on the offense to score 2 goals ending the game with a 3-3 score.

The next day, Ingersoll’s Verspeeten Cartage/Carmeuse Lime Pee Wee LL team once again laced up as they headed to Port Dover for a 6:30 game Saturday February 15th.  First period ended scoreless as both teams made some great shots and saves. 2nd period ended with Ingersoll in the lead as Port Dover started it off with their first goal halfway through.  Ingersoll followed quickly behind as Kiara Haley and Matthew Debruyn assisted Nathan Graham with the first goal. The puck drops and 20 seconds later Camden McDougall makes a clean pass to Nathan Graham as he shoots and scores again! My seat barely had time to warm up as third period was an up and up again period!  36 seconds in and Cole Millard and Keegan Purdy assist Nolan Costa with goal #3!  Port Dover manages to sneak one through to get their second goal 3 minutes in. Camden McDougall assists David Timleck with goal #4.  Devon Jones comes close as he keeps up a great job screening the goalie.  Last 2 minutes of the period and Owen Longlade scores goal #5! Puck drops and 15 seconds later Cole Millard scores goal #6! Way to go team!!  Brodi Carbaugh and Megan Longlade have displayed some great moves holding off the opposition!

Monday February 17th the team hosted Norwich for an 8pm home game at I.D.M.C.  The puck drops and they’re off!  It’s an intense game as both teams battle for the puck. Nathan Graham assists Ethan Vlemmix in scoring the first goal!  First period buzzer sounds with Ingersoll in the lead. Second period begins with Norwich trying hard to tie the game up.  Six minutes in and Cole Millard and Owen Longlade assist Nolan Costa in scoring goal #2!  The period ends with Ingersoll holding their lead! Final buzzer sounds with Ingersoll winning the game 2-0! Awesome job to Brodi Carbaugh and Megan Longlade for a shut out game!

This coming weekend Ingersoll’s Verspeeten Cartage/Carmeuse Lime Pee Wee LL team head to Port Colbourne for the Golden Puck tournament with their first game on Friday February 21st at 12:30 pm followed by the next one at 5pm. Their third game is at 5:30pm on Saturday. I look forward to watching some spectacular teamwork and fantastic playing by everyone there!!
