The finals are here!
Sunday March 9th, Ingersoll’s Carmeuse Lime/Verspeeten Cartage Pee Wee LL team laced up for their OMHA’s final game against Six Nations team #1.

As the end of the first period is nearing the end, both teams continue their battle of the puck. With 3 seconds left on the clock Six Nations scores, ending the first period in the lead. Ingersoll comes back hard for the second period as Camden McDougall scores unassisted with only 9:25 on the clock. As the minutes pass and the battle continues, Six Nations scores again while off side with only 1 second left taking the lead once again. It’s no doubt that the team is facing some aggressive competition but the players keep their cool and continue to play with the hearts on their sleeves. Six Nations plays a strong first half of the third period to score 3 goals. With 2:50 on the clock Keegan Purdy assists Owen Longlade in scoring Ingersoll’s second and sadly last goal.
The team played a very impressive game, working well together and never gave up. No matter what the colour of medal they received, all of the players played a gold medal game!! It has been a wonderful season and a pleasure to watch the players improve their skills and work hard as they made their way to the finals and finished with Silver Medals!! Congratulations to Megan Longlade, Brodi Carbaugh, Nathan Graham, Devon Jones, Colin Dench, Keegan Purdy, Ethan Laporte, Owen Longlade, Nolan Costa, Matthew Debryun, Ethan Vlemmix, Camden McDougall, Kiara Haley, Cole Millard and David Timleck on your success this hockey season!! Also a thank you to the staff, Nelson Costa, Carol Debryun, Dean McDougall, Jason Graham, Chris Dench and all the parents that were there to support their kids, getting them to the games, cheering them on and all of those lovely early morning practices! It has been a pleasure getting to meet so many fantastic people both on and off the ice. I look forward to seeing the players that are able to make it the tournament in Waterford where they will play their first game on Saturday March 22nd at 9pm.
