Pass, Pass and Pass it again!!
As the sun shone outside, Ingersoll’s Carmeuse Lime/Verspeeten Cartage Pee Wee LL team headed to Six Nations Saturday Nov 16th for a 3pm game.  When the game ended at 3:41 pm, the team was all smiles as they won their 9th league game!

All the players were kept on their toes as the first period ended scoreless.  Second period begins and a min and a half into the period PING! And it’s in! Nice goal off the post for Matthew Debruyn assisted by Owen Longlade.  Six Nations comes back hard and gets a breakaway goal.  Buzzer sounds with a tie score.  Such excitement as both teams battle to get a second goal.  Clock stops at 1:47 as Ethan Laporte gets it in! Way to go Ingersoll!

Monday November 18th, the team shines again as they hosted Port Dover @ I.D.M.C.  I am proud of all the players for playing a fantastic game tonight.  And before I give details, I would like to take a few lines to applaud them for keeping their heads in the game, focusing on working together and displaying some beautiful passes.  It was a rough game tonight as the players faced some aggressive opposition.  Ethan Vlemmix gets a nice corner shot in after Cole Millard and Ethan Laporte pass the puck forward.  A min later Cole Millard passes it again to Ethan Vlemmix as he scores goal #2! David Timleck on the defense as he has his goalies back and makes a nice stop in the end zone. With only 8 seconds on the clock, Keegan Purdy passes it to Camden McDougall who slides goal #3 into the net.  First period ends with Ingersoll in the lead 3 to 0.  Port Dover spends over ½ of the second period in the penalty box as they aggressively try to score.  Brodi Carbaugh makes a fantastic full body save, followed by a quick leg block on the rebound.  Owen Longlade displayed some more of his team’s passing skills as he shoots it over to Nathan Graham who scores goal #4 in the second half of the period.  While Nolan Costa, Chris Dench and Devin Jones continue to pass, pass and pass playing one of the best games I have seen.

The first 3 min of 3rd period were intense as Port Dover comes in hard scoring 2 goals and getting another penalty where Ethan Vlemmix makes a penalty shot.  He fakes right, and then buries it deep to the left! Kiara Haley holding her ground screening the goalie and coming so close several times to scoring her first team goal.  With the score at 5 to 2, Port Dover puts Ingersoll on the defense as they try to turn the game around.  Hard to believe it’s possible but the last 3 min were even more intense as Ethan Laporte sends the puck over to assist Keegan Purdy on goal #6. A minute later Ethan does the same again, only assisting Nathan Graham as he scores a nice wrap around shot!  And the puck is up... up and held as Megan Longlade makes not only 1 but 2 nice catches.  Under a min left on the clock and Port Dover gets a goal in on the breakaway.  Final buzzer and score of 7 to 3! Ingersoll has done it again; they passed, and passed and passed it again to win their 10th game and ending Port Dover’s winning streak.  Congratulations to all the players of Ingersoll’s Carmeuse Lime/Verspeeten Cartage Pee Wee LL team.

Saturday November 22nd, Ingersoll heads again to Six Nations to play their second Pee Wee team @ 3pm.
