GOAL for Ingersoll! 8 seconds into the first period Camden McDougall scores the first team goal assisted by Nolan Costa. Yet again Ingersoll’s Verspeeten Cartage/Carmeuse Lime Pee Wee LL team played another edge of your seat game Monday night.
The team played a strong game, keeping Simcoe busy. 7 minutes into the game Simcoe took their first shot against goalie Megan Longlade. Great stop by Megan, brings the team into a 1 to 0 score as the second period begins. The second period was full of up and down for many of the spectators as the teams continued their on ice battle. Kiara Haley continued her awesome screening, while Ethan Vlemixx, Matthew Debryun, Colin Dench and Keegan Purdy all kept Simcoe busy while displaying their skating and stick skills. Several great shots were made on Simcoe’s net, keeping their players on the defense. On a sad note at 7:27 into the third period of their third shut out game, the shutout streak came to an end. Thus lighting a fire in the team. At 5:23 Camden McDougall scores a second goal in off the short side bringing Ingersoll back into the lead with the assistance of David Timleck and Devon Jones. With the game nearing an end, Owen Longlade scores the third and final goal for Ingersoll with under a minute left on the clock. Assist going to Nathan Graham and Ethan Laporte. Brodi Carbaugh makes a terrific pad save at 0:20 holding Simcoe to only 1 goal. Final score of 3 to 1!! Congratulations to all the players on keeping the streak alive!
The team’s next game is Saturday November 2nd at 12:30 in Waterford against their LL team, followed by a home game Monday November 4th at 8pm where they will be hosting the Waterford Rep team at IDMC.
