Game #4 OMHA Playdowns - Swept aside the Tornadoes
Winter arrived once again in the area as we headed down Hwy 19 to play game #4 of our playdown vs Tillsonburg. It was pretty obvious that the boys wanted this to end tonight, and in the end they did not let us down that were in attendance. From puck drop to the final buzzer, this was pretty much a one sided affair. A lot of credit to the Tornadoes goaltender who did everything he could to keep his squad in this series, but at the end of the day, the Express were just too much for Tillsonburg.
Tanner Belore, stood tall in net even though he was not tested too much, but made a couple of real big saves to keep us in check, as we still had a tough time tickling the twine tonight. The final score was 3-1. Scoring for the big red machine tonight was Tyler Fleming, Owen Clarke and Eli North, with assists to Alex Stratton, Brody Huitema and Ryan Condotta. Great win boys! The further we go the tougher it gets as all indications points to a quarterfinal showdown with Niagara on the Lake.
Back to the Southern Counties loop on Saturday as we head to Ayr for a match vs the Flames. Congratulations to the entire team for a job well done. Keep the Express train rolling.....
