Game #5 OMHA S.F - Express go down swinging
We are so proud of our boys who battled to the end, but came up short, losing 4-1 to Strathroy and the series 6 pts to 4. Great job goes to the coaching staff who had them ready to go for this series, and kudos to the boys from Strathroy, who played a hell of a series as well. Mason Durham scored the first goal of the game, going top shelf, off a nice pass by Owen Clarke to give us the lead, but the Rockets tied it up just a couple minutes later.
it was starting to look like we may be headed to a third overtime in the series, but the Rockets got one past Tanner Belore, who played phenomenally the entire series, with only three and a half minutes to play. Strathroy would add two empty netters to seal the deal. Hold your heads high boys, you could not have represented your organization any better. The focus now returns to the Southern Counties playoffs with two games to go before the playoff round. We will need to regain our focus and battle for our chance to participate.
