Game #9 S.C Playoffs - Express roll over Leafs at home.
Coming off such an emotional series vs Strathroy, the boys needed to reset their focus on the job at hand, and that was to solidify a spot in the top 4 for Southern Counties, and get a shot to play a couple more meaningful games before the end of the season. Back between the pipes was Ben Baker, as we hosted the Langton Leafs, a team that was relegated to our division after competing in the rep loop during the first half of the season.
The boys did start a little sluggish, as the pace was significantly less than what the team had been playing at lately, but once they got going, they just kept it rolling, dominating from start to finish. Langton spend a lot of the game in the sin bin, taking 5 minor penalties and 1 double minor penalty in this contest. The boys did what they needed to do, with the match ending in a 8-2 victory for the hometown Express. Goal scorers tonight were as follows.

Mason Durham, Tyler Fleming, Logan Pare and Ryan Gregg rounding out the goals. Assists tonight went to Gregg with 2, Pare with 2, Alex Stratton with 2, Tyler Fleming with 2, Ethan Kish with 2, Cole McNeil, Mason Durham and Kian Brown. Ben Baker played a solid game in the net, but got injured late in the contest, so Tanner Belore had to finish out the contest. We are hoping Ben can shake it off, as the Leafs crashed the net hard looking for a rebound.
Our final game is on Thursday, as we play the undefeated Plattsville Rage at home to finish our round robin playoff round.
