Game # 1 OMHA playdowns vs Caledonia
After an exciting weekend of hockey at the International Silver Stick Tournament, we were back home ready to focus on the second half of our Southern Counties season as well as our first OMHA series with Caledonia. It was going to be interesting to see what version of the boys came to the arena tonight. It was evident early, this team was ready to fire on all cylinders.

The game ended with the Express opening the series with a convincing 7-0 win. Ingersoll dominated all facets of the game, and played with a sense of purpose. Ben Baker would get the nod, and he stood tall to earn the shut out. Ingersoll would open the scoring in the 1st period with a beautiful tic-tac-toe passing play started by Ryan Gregg, finding Tyler Fleming who connected with Ethan Kish to get the Express rolling. The period ended 1-0, but the boys had many other chances.

The floodgates opened up in the second. Ryan Condotta would bury a beauty, with assists from Fleming and Logan Pare at the 7:15 mark left in the second. Two minutes later Brody Huitema would score his first oftwo, after a nice pass from his defense partner Kian Brown put the puck right on the tape, and Huitema calmly walked in and launched a wrist shot passed the Thunder goaltender. With time ticking down Jeremy Stiles would score a dandy of his own, off a feed from Eli North. The period ended with us up by 4 goals.

The third was much of the same, a period controlled by the hometown Express, As Huitema, would score his second from the point with an assist from Eli North once again. As we continued to press, Eli would score a goal of his own after a hard, low wrister ricocheted off the pad of the goaltender, who did not get much support from his teammates all evening. Kian Brown would close out the scoring with a nice shot from the point as well with assists going to Stiles and North. Great game boys... practice tomorrow, and Game #2 Thursday down the 403 at Caledonia.
