Game #1 I.S.S Ingersoll vs Arvada Colorado
After a early morning breakfast the Peewee A/E Dove Dental squad headed down the QEW to our first game at the impressive Gale Community Center in Niagara Falls to open our appearance at the 2020 International Silver Stick Tournament.

First on the schedule for the Express was the Arvada Hockey Club from Colorado. It was going to be interesting to see how we were going to stack up against this club. Starting in goal to get us rolling was Ben Baker. It would not take us long to find the back of the net as Ryan Condotta finished a wrap around to perfection after taking a feed from Taylor Murray only 22 seconds after the puck dropped. The ice surface was clean, large and fast as it seemed we struggled getting used to our surroundings, but we certainly dominated the play. After Alex Stratton took a body contact penalty, the Express did a great job killing the power play limiting our opponents to minimal offensive zone time. Condotta would tickle the twine again, with assistance from Murray once again with just over three minutes, to give the Express a 2-0 lead heading into the 2nd.

The Express again dominated the second period, but great credit to the Colorado goaltender who made save after save to keep his squad in the contest. After multiple attempts, we finally got our third Jeremy Stiles scored on an open net with assists going to Eli North and Alex Stratton.

In the third, the flood gates opened up for the Express, finding the net 4 more times. Owen Clarke buried a rebound from a point shot from Logan Pare to get things going in the third. Eli North less than a minute later used is dazzling puck control to undress the Colorado defenders and slide one past to make it 5-0. Ingersoll struck again quickly with Alex Stratton finding the back of the net, from a nice feed from Jeremy Stiles. Taylor Murray would conclude the scoring with just over four minutes left to seal the deal, and the Express takes game 1 7-0.
quick break between games before game 2 vs Strathroy. Best of luck boys. Go Express.
