Rage against the Express - Game 2
The Boys headed up the 401 for a matchup against the Rage from Plattsville. Both squads came in with a 1-0 record after their respective matches last week. Ingersoll called upon Ben Baker to backstop the Express in game 2, and it became very apparent very early that we were all in for an entertaining game. As was the case vs Caledonia, our boys came out with a load of energy, pressing extremely hard early however it would be the Rage getting on the board first. It did not take long for Ingersoll to counter with a beauty goal from Eli North. Both teams traded chances, but Plattsville would get one past Baker, to give the Rage a 2-1 lead at the end of one.

The 2nd period was a penalty filled period period, with both squads able to enjoy power play time, but either squad could muster a goal, and the 2nd ended still with the Rage in the lead by 1.

The third period was all Express, as they began to wear down the Plattsville squad with a relentless attack. A top shelf goal over the blocker side by Eli North shorthanded tied the game at 2-2, as the Red, black and white from Ingersoll kept the pressure on. Jeremy Stiles lit the lamp with his own top shelf laser beam to give the visitors their first lead of the game, and one they would not relinquish. Two goals by hard working Ryan Gregg, solidified the win at 5-2. The boys played a responsible game at both ends of the ice, while the parents are impressed how these boys have gelled so early in the season. Coach Belore and the staff have the entire team committed to a blue collar style of hockey that will cause opponents fits. The Express hit the ice next Tuesday hosting the Flames from Ayr. Keep the train rolling boys.... Fantastic effort.
