The Bantam AE side tried to stretch their win streak to two games Sunday in Plattsville but a first period lead was erased in the second period as the home side Plattsville Rage scored four times and hung on to a 5-4 win.

The Express took a first period lead on a goal by center Emmitt Robinson assisted by winger Ben Scott. Robinson banged in a loose puck with 3:53 left in the first period.

Getting to celebrate!

The Express had a number of opportunities to add to the lead as the Rage would take one minor and one double minor penalty in the period, but again the visitors have had a tough time recently capitalizing with the man advantage.

Plattsville would turn the game around in the second period outscoring the Express 4-2. The home team tied the game up early in the second. The Express managed to rebound from the goal and continued to work hard and would take the lead again with 9:24 left when this time Scott would score assisted by Robinson and winger Luke Turner. This line lead the visitors with a combined five points.

Full credit to the home side as they only took 0:08 seconds to tie the game back up at 2-2. This seemed to weigh on the Express and the Rage would capitalize. The home side started taking the play to the Express and had a noticeable advantage winning most puck battles. The Rage took the lead with 8:22 left in the second. Center Isaiah DeWit would tie the game up assisted by winger Joey Parkhill. But the Rage would take the lead again less than 0:50 later and take a 4-3 lead into the third.

Plattsville would extend the lead half way through the third period and would limit the visitors chances until there was only 2:30 left in the game. Ingersoll started to apply some pressure and generate opportunities but would score with 0:17 left in the game on a goal by winger Matt Overreem. This did not leave the visitors much time to tie up the game and the Rage were able to hold off any last second heroics.
