After a couple of postponed game in Burford, the Express finally got a chance to play the league leading Bulldogs Monday night in Ingersoll. The home side, who have played much better in their last three games, took it to the Bulldogs generating numerous shots and scoring opportunities throughout the game while holding the visitors to a limited amount of time in the offensive end.

The scoring was spread around for the Express with winger Matt Overreem netting two goals, winger Caleb Clifford with a powerplay goal, winger Matt Molnar with one goal and winger Luke Turner with his first goal of the season.

The Express moved the puck nicely out of their own end through most of the game allowing the forwards to generate some offensive zone attacks.

Ingersoll would open the scoring in the first when defenseman Kieghan Osmond sent a pass into center Isaiah DeWit in the Bulldog corner. DeWit would show some patience and nice hands as he hit Overreem in front of the net for the opening goal.

Ingersoll would extend their lead in the second when Molnar picked up a loose puck and entered the Bulldog zone. Molnar made a little move on the Burford defense and fired a hard wrist shot that went up under the crossbar, glove side on the Bulldog goalie.

Clifford would extend the lead in the second on the powerplay to give the Express the 3-0 lead with 3:57 left in the second. Just 1:37 later Turner would extend the lead to 4-0 with his first of the season.

Overreem would get his second goal of the game just 1:01 into the third to round out the Express scoring. The game could have been much worse as the Bulldog's frustration started to show in the third. At one point the visitors had as many players in the penalty box as they had skaters on the ice and in the players bench.

Burford's lone goal came late in the third as they finally solved Express goalie Dawson Sharpe.
