The Thamesford Pizza Bantam AE rep
team travelled to Caledonia Thursday night, to open up their last four road
games before Christmas, to face the second place Thunder.
The home side out skated the visiting Express and earned a 5-1 victory. The Express managed to hold the Thunder in the first period. Although the Express gave up the opening goal of the game, they would battle back and tie it on a goal from defenseman Colin VanDyk.
Celebrating Colin's shot from the point.
Ben swings the puck around behind his net.
The Thunder would regain the lead late in the second period and an untimely penalty to the Express would see them shorthanded for 5 minutes and lose a forward. Caledonia would take advantage of the momentum swing after this play and out-skate and win the majority of puck battles.
Aden keeps the puck in the offensive zone.
The home team would add three more goals in the third period against a tired Ingersoll side and send the visitors home with another road loss.
