The Peewee Rep, Ponting Financial Group, would enjoy a short Christmas Break and then on December 28th the team would travel to Watford to participate in the Regional Silver Stick Tournament.  Their first opponent would be Mooretown.  It would be Mooretown that would strike first, scoring at the 5:34 mark of the first period.  Our boys would answer back on a goal from Tyler Watts, assisted by Nicholas Yoworski at 1:56 of the first period.  Both goalies would shut out their respectful opponents in the 2nd period, carrying a 1-1 tie into the 3rd period.  Then at the 6:52 mark of the 3rd period, Mooretown would take a 2-1 lead.  The Express boys would work hard to tie the game but in the end, they could not find the back of the Mooretown net, suffering a tough 2-1 loss to start the tournament.
On December 29th, the boys would head back to Watford to play the Wallaceburg Lakers.  Our Express boys would be first on the board in this game on a goal by Emmett Gedies, assisted by Nicholas Yoworski, with one minute left in the first period.  The second period would again be scoreless for both teams, taking a 1-1 tie into the third period.  Wallaceburg would manage to tie the game late in the 3rd period, forcing the game into a 20 minute, 3 on 3, overtime period.  Carter Aarts, would score the winner for the Ingersoll Express, unassisted, early in the overtime period, giving his team a 2-1 victory. 
Once all teams were seeded after the round robin play, the Ponting Financial Group, would play Mooretown again in the quarter final game, on Saturday December 30th.  The boys hit the ice, ready to play.  Emmett Gedies would score the 1st goal of the game assisted by Willie Parsons and Myles Martin, with 0:32 seconds left in the 1st period.  Ingersoll would score again in the 2nd period at the 2:52 mark of the period, on a goal from Nicholas Yoworski, assisted by Parsons and GediesGedies would score his 2nd of the game at the 8:02 mark of the third period, assisted by Parsons, giving Ingersoll a 3-0 lead.  Goaltender Nate White, would continue to shut the door earning himself a shut out and his team a 3-0 victory and a birth in the semi final game later that afternoon.
At 4:00pm on December 30th the Express boys would face off against Petrolia in the semi-final game.  Nicholas Yoworski would score early in the first period, assisted by Emmet Gedies and Jack Brown, to give Ingersoll an early 1-0 lead.  Petrolia would tie the game 2 minutes later and again with 1:34 left in the first period to take a 2-1 lead heading into the 2nd period.  Yoworski would tie the game at 2-2, assisted by Carter Aarts and Gedies, at the 9:25 mark of the period.  Petrolia would manage to pull ahead with a goal late in the 2nd period.  Despite Ingersoll’s endless fight to make a comeback, it would be Petrolia that would earn a 5-2 victory, preventing Ingersoll from advancing further in the tournament. 
The Ingersoll Express Peewee Rep team will hit the ice again on Wednesday January 3rd at 8:20pm in Hagersville.
