The Peewee Ponting Financial Group Rep Team travelled to Delhi on Tuesday January 9th, to play their 2nd playoff game of the season.
Delhi would jump out to an early 1-0 lead at the 7:25 mark of the 1st period. However, Ingersoll’s Willie Parsons, assisted by Parker Huitema, would tie the game 1-1 with 2:31 left in the first period. Ingersoll would take a 2-1 lead on a goal from Emmett Gedies, assisted by Carter Aarts with 8:24 left on the clock in the 2nd period. Goaltender, Hunter Collins would shut out Delhi in the 2nd period, allowing his team to carry a 2-1 lead into the 3rd period. A goal from Nick Yoworski, assisted by Gedies early in the 3rd period would give our Ingersoll boys a 3-1 lead. Then, with 9:59 left in the period, Delhi would score, making the score 3-2. Yoworski would strike again, assisted by Gedies, with 3 minutes left in the game, giving Ingersoll a 4-2 lead. Our Express Boys would keep Delhi off the scoreboard earning themselves a 4-2 win over Delhi.
The Ingersoll Express boys will hit the ice again on Thursday January 11th, when they will travel to Paris to play the Wolf Pack in their 1st game of OMHA Playdowns.
