Ponting Financial
This week the Peewee Ponting Financial Group played 3 games. On Wednesday November 15th the boys travelled to St. George to play the Generals. Our boys were down were down 3-0 heading into the 3rd period. The boys came alive in the 3rd period, pulling out a 4-3 victory with the game winning goal scored by Jaxson Vandevenne with 25 seconds left in the game.
The second game of the week would be played the following night when they would host the Caledonia Thunder. The boys worked hard in this game but were up against a tough opponent in the Caledonia Thunder. The boys would end up losing this game 2-0.
The last game of the week would be played Sunday November 19, 2017 against Burford in Ingersoll. The first period would see a 0-0 tie heading into the 2nd period. The first goal of the game would be scored by Nickolas Yoworski assisted by Jack Brown at 6:22. Ingersoll would strike again with 0:31 seconds left in the period on a goal by Ryan Vandersar assisted by Willie Parsons. Early in the third period, Parsons would score again for Ingersoll, assisted by Vandersar and Dylan Condotta pulling ahead 3-0. Burford would make a comeback scoring at the 9:35 mark and the 5:55 mark of the 3rd period making the score 3-2. Ingersoll would pull ahead 4-2 with 3:30 left in the period on a goal from Emmett Geddies, assisted by Carter Aarts. Burford would make it 4-3 with 2:28 left in the game. Ingersoll would earn the a 4-3 win over Burford.
The Ingersoll Peewee Rep team will hit the ice again on Thursday November 23 when the Waterford Wildcats come to town.
