Ponting Financial Peewee’s Defeat Warriors
On Sunday October 29th, the Peewee Ponting Financial Group Rep team, travelled to Simcoe to play the
Warriors.
Our boys battled hard through the &rst period in both the offensive and defensive zones, with goal
tender Nate White shuttng the door on the Simcoe Warriors, taking a 0-0 tie into the 2nd
period.
As the back and forth battle between the teams continued, it would be the Warriors who would get on
the scoreboard first at the 2:56 mark of the 2ndperiod. Our Express boys would have ample opportunity
to get on the board as well, but were up against a strong Warrior goalie. Ingersoll would be down 1-0
heading into the 3rdperiod.
Ingersoll would not waste anytime nettng the tying goal at the 13:13 mark of the third period, on a goal by Ryan Vandersar, assisted by Willie Parsons and Nicholas Yoworski. As Simcoe pressed to pull ahead,
Ingersoll would answer the call to pull ahead 2-1 on a goal from Jax Nguyen, assisted by Parsons and
Emmett Gedies at the 4:08 mark. The Warriors would battle hard but the Express would shut them
down, earning a 2-1 victory.
Next game is Thursday November 3 at 7:00pm in Ingersoll against Tillsonburg.
