Vision Property Mgmt. vs Waterford Wildcats #1
The team boarded the Express train and headed to Waterford for a match against the Wildcats #1 team.  It was an exciting match with awesome plays from both teams ending with a 5-1 win for Waterford.

The puck dropped to start the game and Ingersoll quickly found themselves in the penalty for tripping with only 9 seconds off the clock.  Waterford took advantage of the open ice and forced the puck into the Ingersoll zone.  Ingersoll's goalie #1 Damien Van Damme faced the first shot of the game and steered it clear of the net.  The defence did a great job of tying up the forwards and using the boards to clear the puck.  The puck made its way into the Wildcats end of the ice. Ingersolls forward #4 Kadin Van Damme skated to the net and managed to jam the puck between the goalies skate and the post for the first goal of the game at 7:51!  Great hustle Kadin, nice short handed goal!  Ingersoll continued to play excellent position hockey with the forwards at the hash marks taking the clearing passes from the defence and moving up the ice.  The Wildcats goalie was busy making saves and holding the Ingersoll offence off the scoreboard.  Waterford had their own set of chances but Damien was razor sharp and made multiple saves.  With half the period over, a Wildcat player displayed some smooth stick handling and deeked out Damien to tie the game at 3:38.  Tough break Damien.  The rest of the period was filled with end to end action that started with Damien making 2 stellar saves that was followed up with an Ingersoll 2 on 0.  #11 Cole Ialenti got his Red Hot skates burning down the left side of the ice and slid a pass across the ice to #13 Cole Brownscome.  Cole fired a quick shot just wide of the net and the score remained 1-1.  The Wildcats responded putting offensive pressure on the goalie and a shot from the point was tipped over a sprawling goalie and into the back of the net at 1:19.  The period would end 2-1
The second period was just as exciting as the first with both goalies making critical saves.  Ingersolls #2 Nathan Kapitor did his best Bobby Orr impression taking the puck end to end down the middle of the ice.  He had the goalie going the opposite way but his shot slid just by the far post to save the Wildcats goalie.  Great effort Nate!  Play continued at both ends of the ice with shots fired from all over.  At 2:47 the Wildcats took the puck from the face off in Ingersolls end and after a quick pass the side of the net the Wildcat player snapped the puck high into the top of the net to push the lead to 3-1.  Ingersoll's goalie made some great saves to end the period including another high shot off the face mask.
The third period was tough treading for Ingersoll as they tired and the speed of the Wildcats forwards became hard to match.  Ingersoll's players continued to battle in the corners and gave a great effort.  Waterford added 2 more goals to the score board during the period.  The first on a break away and the second on a 2 on 1.  Ingersoll did have a few scoring chances in the period but could not find an opening and the game finished with a score of 5-1.  It was an exciting game to watch and all the players should be proud of their efforts!
