EXPRESS BANTAM REP START OMHA FINALS
Ingersoll's Bantam Rep team sponsored by Louie's Pizza rolled into Minden on March 14th to take on the Highland Storm playing the first two games in a six point final series to determine who would be OMHA champions!

Game one would have the Express wondering what was coming having never been up against the Storm before.  After the national anthem the puck dropped starting off a battle with both teams hungry for the all important game one win.  After 10 minutes of play Highland struck first getting up 1 on the Express.  77 seconds later Tyler Arts went behind the net passing out front to Eric Savoie which he buried to tie the game 1-1.  Less than 2 minutes later Savoie would get number 2 assisted by Tanner Geddies and Arts after cycling the puck around the Storms net moving Ingersoll ahead 2-1.  With only 33.5 seconds left in the 1rst Highland would get one more to make it 2 all.  The 2nd period remained scoreless with both teams heading to the dressing rooms tied while the zamboni driver did his thing.  Early in the 3rd at 14:36 Savoie put one up where grampa hides the good stuff for a hat trick assisted by Arts and Geddies.  The Express got the last goal of the game at 3:58 seeing Geddies putting one top shelf assisted by Arts and Savoie.  Game one Express 4-2!
The next day Ingersoll met Highland in Haliburton for game 2.  With hopes of coming back to Ingersoll with 2 wins the Express came out ready to rock.  The 1rst period was scoreless but had a beauty of a play from Ben Jentz, Jacob Branderhorst  and Maxx Shelton coming close.  At 12:48 in the 2nd the Express finally pocketed a goal when Robbie Jackson fed Arts to make it 1-0.  Goal 2 came at 7:41 in the 2nd with Savoie passing to Geddies who shot creating a rebound that Arts put in off his backhand.  The Express made it 3-0 at 9:56 in the 3rd when Jentz and Arts cycled to the Nathan Gould on the point who introduced the Storm to his slap shot. The game ended 3-0 for Ingersoll showing a great job from the defense Matt Berzins, Jack Van Egdom, Robbie Jackson, Nathan Gould and Tanner Gray.  Goalie Noah Robinson racked up another shutout remaing at the top of his game. Game 3 will be held in Ingersoll at the Madhouse on Mutual on Saturday night at 8:00 pm.  Go Express
