Louis Pizza Bantam Rep Advance To OMHA Finals
Ingersoll Express Bantam Rep team sponsored by Louis Pizza and Pasta hosted Mt. Brydges on Thursday night to play game four in OMHA semi-finals.
The Express still had players out and took to the ice with ten skaters. Ingersoll drew first blood at 11:33 in the first putting a flurry of shots on the Cougars' net until Maxx Shelton buried the rubber assisted by Ben Jentz and Jacob Branderhorst. The Express would get the second goal at 8:35 in the second period when Tanner Geddies drove around the Cougars' net and passed to Tyler Arts who put it over to Eric Savoie who hammered it into the top corner.
Goaltender Noah Robinson frustrated the Cougars thwarting all attempts to score on two power plays. Defence Tanner Gray, Matt Berzins, Robbie Jackson, and Jack Van Egdom played an awesome third, keeping the puck out of our end. To keep it interesting with 36 seconds left in the game, thee Cougars would score their only goal finishing this barn burner 2-1; Express, sending the bantams to OMHA finals. Congratulations to Jared Borsma's peewee rep team for advancing to the finals tonight as well. GO EXPRESS!
