Louies Pizza Bantam Rep Undefeated
The Ingersoll Express Bantam Rep had a win in Waterford Thursday night and tied Ayr on Saturday night in our barn.
The Bantam Rep team sponsered by Louies Pizza traveled to Waterford Thursday night and after a slow start in the first period managed to take control the rest of the game. Waterford would raise a few eyebrows scoring the only goal in the first period. As the lads gathered around the bench coach Matt Duncan and assistant Rick Arts would give them a pep talk that would change the coarse of the game.
Waterford would sneak one past goalie Jayden Purdy but from there on it would be all Express! With 5:21 left in the second Tanner Gedies would give the puck to Maxx Shelton who fed linemate Ben Jentz who skated it to the other end scoring putting the Express on the board. Two minutes later Alex Foster would feed Jacob Branderhorst who assisted Eric Savoie making it 2-2. After going into the third still tied Tyler Arts And Tanner Gedies would cycle the puck assisting Eric Savoie for his second of the game making it 3-2 Express. With goalie Jayden Purdy stopping everything Waterford had left Justin Holmes would out skate their defense to go unassisted scoring the fourth and final goal making it 4-2 Express!
Two days later the boys hosted a rivalry from last year the Ayr Flames. Ingersoll would strike first with Tanner Gray letting a shot go that would rebound to Tyler Arts who assisted Eric Savoie who would score the only goal the Express would get. With 8:53 left in the third Ayr would score making it 1-1. The score would remain tied with net minder Noah Robinson stopping all efforts from the Flames. The Express outplayed Ayr hitting posts and crossbars just being unable to put one away. The express will travel to St. George Wednesday to take on the team they put out of Southern Counties semi final last year. Go Express !
