Short bench continues to struggle
With only 9 skaters the Midget LL boys continue to struggle.....
Six Nations visited our home ice to face a short handed bench. We came out pretty strong in the first period keeping pace with Six Nations. Six nations got on the board first scoring with 8:33 left in the first period, we quickly answered back with 7:16 left on the clock...Matt Holmes scored a sweet goal assisted by a clean Noah Schonberger pass. Six Nations scored two more in the 2nd period leaving us scrambling in our own zone to clear the puck even though Six Nations took multiple penalties in this period. The boys began to tire at the end of the second and into the third period, struggling to keep up with a determined Six Nations team. Deakin faced multiple shots in the third period, letting 5 goals in. We scored in the third with 4 minutes left by an unassisted goal by Matt Holmes once again.
