Holding their composure the boys came out with a big win
The boys travelled to Port Dover on January 30th and played at Home on February 9th against Waterford.

The boys played a good clean game against Port Dover on January 30th.  With only 3 penalties called in the whole game for both teams it was a great game of just hockey. Ingersoll came out netting the first girl in the first period with 8:36 on the clock, goal was scored unassisted by Jack Walters.  Waterford came back to tie the game a few minutes later but Deakin stayed in to keep it to a tie after period 1.  The boys played good solid man to man hockey in the second period but we dropped two more goals to Waterford with 4:10 and 1:44 left on the clock ending the second period down by 2.  We lost some steam and the defence seemed to pinch more allowing multiple breakaways available against Seth Deakin.. Deakin allowed a quick goal with 14:42 on the clock in the third but we came back quick with an unassisted goal by Austin Webber to make it 4 to 2.  Deakin faced some pretty difficult shots throughout the game but all in all gave us a solid performance.  Game ended with a 4 to 2 loss.

We played our next home game February 9th against a very rowdy Waterford team and set of fans that came along with them.  Both teams were solid in the first period but Waterford scored first with 2:08 left in the period leaving us down 1 to 0 after the period.  The second period was full of multiple penalties on both sides leaving our boys frustrated and a bit hot headed.  They held their composure and made an outstanding showing in the second period scoring with 7:25 in the period by an unassisted goal by Jack Walters and then another quick goal 30 seconds later by Austin Webber and assisted by Josh Holmes.  We came out in the third period trying to hold our one game lead and gave ourselves a bit of insurance scoring another goal with 10:59 on the clock by Matt Holmes, assisted by Austin Weber and Matt Box.  Waterford came back quick though and scored just 30 seconds later to bring them within 1 goal.  Ingersoll played hard and ended up with another goal with 2:55 left in the game scored again by Austin Webber, assisted by Matt Holmes and Matt Box to give us a 4 to 2 lead with just 2:20 left on the clock.  We scrambled a bit and ended up allowing another goal with 2:17 left in the game leaving us with a 1 goal lead.  Deakin kept his head in the game and gave us a well deserved win!  Way to go boys, this was a difficult game but you did it!
