Shaky start to second half
Midget LL boys hosted Port Dover on January 12th and was on the road to Langton January 18th.

The Midget LL boys hosted Port Dover on January 12th to a great home crowd in the stands.  We got off to a rough start allowing Port Dover to score with 8:18 on the clock giving them the early lead.  With a full bench the boys seemed to get the puck moving a bit better part way through the first period and finally getting their first goal with 3:07 on the clock scored by Matt Holmes and assisted by Jack Walters ending the first period in a tie.  Port Dover came out quick and strong in the second period pelting Deakin and scoring 4 more in the second period leaving us scrambling.  Matt Holmes scored again in the third with 10:42 on the clock assisted once more by Jack Walters, but Port dover continued to dominate in this game scoring 2 more in the third with 5:15 and 3:19 on the clock.  Austin Webber added an exciting goal from the blue line with 29 seconds left on the clock ending the game with a 7 to 3 loss.

We went on the road January 18th to face Langton and just let this one slip away in the third period. Matt Holmes continues to shine in this game scoring 2 goals and getting 2 assists..Ingersoll came out strong in the first period scoring an unassisted goal by Matt Holmes with 5:46 on the clock.  Langton came back quick and scored to tie it up with 5:14 left in the first period. Langton capitalized on an Ingersoll penalties scoring 2 more in the second period but we answered right back with an unassisted goal by Justin Borland and then again by Matt Holmes assisted by Matt Box ending the second period in a 3 - 3 tie.  Langton came out and riddled Deakin in the third period with shots scoring 3 more very quick goals to give them a 6 to 3 lead but Ingersoll continued to fight hard and scored with 2:27 on the clock by Jack Walters assisted by Matt Holmes and again at 3:17 by Craig Wild and assisted by Matt Holmes and Austin Webber.  Was a heartbreaker to say the least to let this one slip away ending with a 6 to 5 loss.  This was a penalty filled game that cost us.
