Off and Running in a new season....
I would like to start off by welcoming all of the players, new and returning for this hockey season as well as the Coaching Staff and our awesome cheering section full of family and friends.

It has been a tough start to our season going 0 and 4 so far, but the season has just begun and the boys are still getting use to playing with each other...I am excited for their season and looking forward to cheering them on win or lose for the rest of the year.

Our season started off on October 6th at home to a great cheering section against a very strong Burford # 1 Team.  Burford came out quick with 4 goals in the first period leaving our boys a bit scattered in our own zone.  It seemed we were able to settle them down in the 2nd period getting our first goal with 8:44 on the clock by an unassisted end to end goal by Matt Holmes, burford answered back with 1:19 left on the clock to give them a 5 - 1 lead heading into the 3rd period.  Seth Deakin our goalie was extremely busy and made some great saves throughout the whole game.  This game was riddled with penalties on both sides which lead to frustrated boys to say the least....

We then travelled to Burford on October 7th to face another strong Burford # 2 team.  Our boys came out flying in the first period making some great passes and plays but we just couldn't find the back of the net.  Seth kept them in the game and it was scoreless after the first period.  Burford came out in the second quick but we stuck with them not allowing a goal until 2:36 left in the period.  They then scored again with only 3 seconds left on the clock in the 2nd period.  It seemed we lost a bit of steam in the third allowing 5 more goals.  We could not capitalize on the multiple penalties Burford had in the game but Is something to work on.  Deakin again was busy in the net and again made some great glove and pad saves against a strong team.

Our second home game was October 13th against Waterford and boy was it a good one.  With a short bench of only 10 with 3 of them (AP's) we came out with some fire in our skates to say the least.  Waterford ended up scoring on a 3 on 1 in the first period.  Second period we came out strong again and we got our first goal of the game that started out of our zone with a pass from Brock Swain to Matt Holmes then to Noah Schonberger who scored a great goal lifting the boys spirits.  We were able to keep penalties to a minimum this game.  Third period came and went with some outstanding hustle especially to Craig Wild who never gave up this whole game...Seth kept us in the game by making some outstanding saves. With only 44 seconds left in the game Waterford came back and scored giving us a 2 - 1 loss.  Even though they lost they played amazing to say the least. Great job by all!

October 20th another home game to another great crowd we faced The Waterford Wildcats.  We had a full bench and it seemed in the first period we came out to play some great hockey keeping the score to a 1 - 0 game at the end of the first period for Waterford.  Waterford came out in the second period quick and capitalized on 4 penalties scoring 5 goals in the second period.  Our boys seemed scattered and couldn't seem to get anything going in this game leaving our goaltender busy.  Again we took multiple penalties in the third period allowing 2 more goals ending with a 7 - 0 loss.
