Verspeeten Cartage Peewees Soundly Take The Win
The Verspeeten Cartage Peewee boys hosted Tilsonburg on December 6th. Excitement among the fans was strong, as most could only find the edges of their seats – on both teams.
Verspeeten Cartage began peppering the Tillsonburg goalie with pucks – so many shots were right at the net. Surely SOME of them had to slip by that ace goalie protecting Tillsonburg's end of the ice. And yes, several pucks did find their way past the goalie and into the net.
Goal-tending for Verspeeten Cartage was excellent: Connor Young-Craig's coverage of the net was instrumental in bringing home the win.
The final score of this great game was 6 to 4, for Verspeeten Cartage. Scoring for Ingersoll was Michael Veale, assisted by Nick Likins. Another score was had by Nick Likins, with assistance from Justin Koch. Still another puck was driven home by Johnathen Landsborough, with the assistance of Cody Morrison. The other three goals were put together in a hat-trick by Austin George, who had assistance from Justin Koch, Anthony Ziraldo, Nick Likins, Michael Veale, and Kristopher Procter.
This great win was the final game of this year. Lots of time now to practice until the new year begins. There are currently no games scheduled for the new year though I'm sure we'll see those games appear the last week of December.
