Verspeeten Cartage PeeWees Busy In New Year
Verspeeten Cartage came into the new year with many games in one week.  Through much travelling, the boys played three games away – in Langton, Simcoe, and Burford – and they hosted Port Dover for one game as well.

All teams were challenging, yet in all of the said games, the Verspeeten boys brought home a goal.  The Langton game saw a single goal scored unassisted by Kristopher Procter.  Then, in Port Dover, Mike Veale tucked the puck home following an assist by Austin George.  As the week went on, the game play became rougher to the point this writer thought Don Cherry might walk in anytime with some rock'em sock'em commentary.  The rough play continued as the boys fought hard for goals against Simcoe.  In the end, they did bring home a goal unassisted, which was scored by Cody Morrison

Finally, this week, the boys travelled to Burford and continued to fight hard, with great defence  and offence, while the goalie, Josh Adams, kept his team in the game.  Finally came the end of the third period, where Verspeeten took the win with a score of two to one.  Verspeeten pucks were put into the net by Justin Koch, with an assist by Nick Likins, and again by Marcus Frizelle who was assisted by Connor Young-Craig.  Prodigious play, boys!

The next game for Verspeeten Cartage PeeWees will be on January 25th, in Ingersoll, at 7pm, when they host Delhi.  Come on out and support these wonderful, heart-felt boys and their great coaches!
