Verspeeten Cartage Peewees Growing Together
Verspeeten Cartage has been facing many adversities over the last few games.  Throughout these challenging times, the boys on the team have grown and they continue to grow – both as a team, and as wonderful, strong, skilled individuals.

For many on this great team, the issue of body contact hockey is new.  Yet they are growing and learning with each new game – supporting each other fully.

No matter what the score of the game happens to be, no matter who wins, who loses, these Verspeeten boys come out every week with a smile, ready to play, simply because they love this game called hockey.  For no other reason do they unite at every game and give all they've got to their opponents.

The latest major challenge for the Verspeeten Cartage team was when both goalies were to be away for a game against Delhi.  The team was without a goalie.  Who would step forward and into the net to save the team for the next game?  Kristopher Procter.  Procter put down his stick, stepped out of his comfort zone of right wing, and stepped into the goalie position for a game last Sunday, November 20, where he stopped 38 shots.  Way to go!

Summing up the games in the last few weeks, November 10th, Verspeeten Cartage played against Delhi.  Scoring for Ingersoll was Nick Likins, assisted by #8, Justin Koch; a second goal was punch into the opposing net by #6, Kristopher Procter, with an assist by #15, Marcus Frizelle and #2, Michael Veale.  Again playing against Delhi on November 20th, the puck was put into the Delhi net once, by #8, Justin Koch, with an assist by #3, Cody Morrison.  November 13th  saw the Verspeeten boys facing Simcoe, where a single unassisted goal was scored by #8 Justin Koch.

Verspeeten Cartage plays their next game on home ice, Tuesday, November 22nd.  Come out and support these these excellent hockey players!
