VERSPEETEN CARTAGE HITS SOME ROUGH ROAD
The boys have played both at home and on the road in the last couple of weeks. They've practiced hard and played hard. However, the winning side of hockey seems to have given them the slip over the last few games.

Playing at home against Tillsonburg, on October 18th, they had a very challenging game. The win could have gone either way. That night it went to Tillsonburg, in spite of the two goals scored by Verspeeten Cartage players. The final score was 3 to 2, with Tillsonburg slipping through to win. Still, Verspeeten Cartage played very well. Scoring was #11, Austin George, assisted by #8, Justin Koch and #15, Marcus Frizelle. The second goal was scored by #6. Kristopher Procter, with assistance by #11, Austin George and #18, Nick Longlade.

October 22nd and October 25th found Verspeeten Cartage playing against Burford and Norwich respectively. In both games, despite their best efforts, a win eluded the team. It should be noted, however, these boys play hockey for love of the game, and there are many games to go in the season.

The Verspeeten Cartage boys now have some days for practice, as their next game is Sunday October 30th in Waterford. Come on out and support this excellent team!
