Midget Local 88 Reps Douse Aylmer Flames
Michael Nutt had a four point night to lead the Ingersoll Express Local 88 Midgets to a convincing 6-1 win over the Aylmer Flames Sunday night. Nutt opened the scoring with a powerplay goal tipping in a point shot from rookie Brett Dzyngel. Dzyngel was limited to playing mostly powerplay time playing in his first game since breaking his ankle in the off season.

With Aylmer taking 35 minutes of 58 total minutes in penalties Dzyngel's presence on the powerplay helped out and resulted in a second powerplay goal early in the second period setting up Jessie Shelton who slid the puck over to Derek Tonin who buried his 10th goal of the year. Soon after, the Flames scored a powerplay goal of their own to cut the lead to 2-1 as it was the only goal Blake Telfer would allow in winning his 12th game this  season. By the end of the period Local 88 added three goals with Nutt finding Graham Hall all alone in front of the net and then Hall reciprocating by setting Nutt up soon after for his second goal of the game. Austin Kielt made it 5-1 with great hand eye coordination tipping in a waist high shot by Derek Leonard.
Tristen Koster finished off the scoring late in the game roofing a well positioned wrist shot.
The solid win was a good way to head into the Silverstick over the Christmas break with the team playing well having had the luxury of playing with a full squad.
