Midgets split games with Tavistock
The Ingersoll Express CAW Local 88 Midget Rep team split a home and home series with the Tavistock Titans with a 3-2 loss in Tavistock Monday night and then avenging that loss winning at home 2-1 Sunday night.
Blake Telfer played well in net both games and lowered his season goals against average to a respectable 2.05. Michael Nutt and Austin Kielt both scored in the first game with Jordan Travis getting an assist.
In the win Derek Tonin scored early in the game finishing off a nice feed from Alex Defent. Jordan Travis scored with a minute and a half left in the game cutting in from the right side for Ingersoll to go up 2-0, and it was important as Tavistock scored with nine seconds remaining in the game. It was a hard hitting affair with all five defencemen playing solid games for Local 88.
