Oxford Chiropractic Atom Reps Keep Rolling!
The Oxford Chiropractic Atom Reps hot off a win against the Langton Leafs the night before looked to keep the ‘train’ running against a visiting Six Nations team. On this night, they came out flying with the will and determination that no one was going to beat them!

The warm up was sharper than usual, and from the drop of the puck the team seemed to have a extra boost of energy that would make Olympic officials wonder whether drug testing was necessary. A strong forecheck early on set the tone of the game, giving Six Nations a difficult time to get any good puck control and scoring opportunities. Ingersoll got on the board first when Tyler Goyette charged the net picking up a rebound and back handing it into the twine. Tanner Moon, and Collin Weller-Burgess got helpers on the play.

A few minutes later, Sommer Lednicky behind the ‘Nation’ net, won the battle along the boards, and sneakily shot the puck off the back of the goalie’s pads and into the net. Her scoring drought was finally over and her small smile being seen across the ice spoke a thousand words...Go get some more Sommer!. Eric Savoie got the assist on the play. Savoie contributed again with a sleek move around the Six Nation defender down the right side, cutting towards the net, back handing it in with a sweet shot low to the glove side. Nick Likins and Lednicky received assists on the play. Six Nations finally responded on a broken play in there end, passing the puck to there forward whom had snuck behind are defenders, leading to a partial breakaway, dribbling one buy our ‘wall’ of a goalie. The Express answered right back with only 6.3 seconds left in the period when Sam Tasker stepped in over the blue line and snapped a shot low to the stick side behind a surprised ‘Nation’ goalie. Savoie got another assist on the play, and the Ingersoll Express were up 4-1 after one period of play.

The next two periods were not as exciting on the score sheet, but Ingersoll’s play still stood out. The defense did a good job clearing the pucks in front of our net when needed and the forwards did there job keeping the ‘Nation’ rush to a standstill with the forecheck. A power play in the 3rd period for the Six Nation crew, gave them a little light, but a pressuring Tasker quickly put that out with a short handed marker of his own. Savoie with his 4th point of the night, got the assist. The period and the game ended in a 5-2 win for the Express. Awesome game team, let’s bring the same intensity and determination into our next game!
