Express Tame Coyotes, Heading to Finals!!
The Oxford Chiropractic Atom Reps played the Burford Coyotes, Tuesday March 23rd, in a semifinal contest for a chance to play in the Southern County 'B' finals.  The Coyotes have had the upperhand on the Express all year.

The key to this game was to try and play a good defensive game and be patient in the offensive zone, and wait for any mistakes.  The 1st and 2nd period was a back and forth affair. The goalies for both teams displayed there puck stopping abilities leaving the game scoreless after two.  The Coyotes to this point had many opportunities courtesy of the powerplay, but the Express were able to fend them off with some hard work and determination.  A 5 on 3 advantage was killed off at the end of the second period, and this seemed to be the turning point of the game for the Express heading into the 3rd.
The Express early in the 3rd took advantage of a good forechecking play by Max Racicot, stealing the puck and Grayson Lochhead carried the puck strong to the net, shooting the puck low, finally beating the Coyote goal tender who seemed unstoppable to this point.  1-0 Express.  This was all the Express needed.  The rest of the game was a defensive affair, and the 'defense' for the Express played an excellent game.  Great work guys!!  The Express ran into a little more penalty trouble, but Noah Robinson was able to shut the door, for his 2nd shutout in a row.  Eric Savoie with a second left in the game, added the empty netter, making the score 2-0 for the Express.  Awsome game Express!!  The Express now face the winner of Paris and Delhi, whom they will face in the 'finals' in Cayuga on Saturday.  See you there!!
