Oxford Chiropractic Atom Reps Fire Past Rockets and Stars!!
The Oxford Chiropractic Atom Reps visited the Delhi Rockets on March 9, looking for a win against the ‘Rockets’ who were undefeated in Southern County round robin play. The Express also held an impressive 3-1-1 record going into the night.

The first period was a defensive battle between the two teams with the Express generally controlling the play and putting the pressure on the ‘Rockets’ netminder. The game remained scoreless until the 5:17 mark of the second period when Grayson Lochhead buried a shot in the top left hand corner over the goalie’s shoulder. Sommer Lednicky and Max Racicot who did a great job to keep the puck on side collected assists on the play. The Express lead 1-0 after two periods of play.

The 3rd period started with the ‘Rockets’ on a power play who were still looking to tie up the game, but Tanner Moon for the Express, on a broken play slipped past the defense and scored a shorthanded marker to lift the gap to two. The Express enjoyed a two goal lead and looked like they were in control of the game, but some questionable penalties in the last 3 minutes of the game gave the hometown ‘Rockets’ some hope. A 6 on 3 situation lead to one Delhi goal but the Express were able to hold off the charge to hang on to a 2-1 win.

On Thursday, March 11th, the Express were at home to the Cayuga Stars. The Express played a strong game defensively and offensively posting a 6-0 win over the visiting ‘Stars’. Scoring for the Express were Grayson Lochhead, Tanner Moon(2), Max Racicot (2), and Eric Savoie. Assists went to Sommer Lednicky (3), Lochhead (2), Moon, Racicot, and Colin Weller-Burgess. Noah Robinson collected his 4th shutout of the season. The Express finished the round robin with a 5-1-1 record and are awaiting to here whom they play in the semi final round. Great hockey Express!!
