Oxford Chiropractic Atom Reps Gearing Up for OMHA's!
The Oxford Chiropractic Atom Reps have been building on team play and consistency over the past 4 months. It has been a roller coaster ride but the team has put together a good run of collecting points in its last 4 games with a 3 win and 1 tie record.

After a short Christmas break, the Express played Port Dover on December 30th with a 9-4 win, they played Langton on January 2nd , walking away with a 8-3 win, they played Port Dover again at home on the 7th winning 4-1, and they played Aylmer on January 10th tieing them 3-3. The Express have 2 regular season games remaining before league playoffs start and there is potential to finish possibly in the top half of the league. This past weekend (January 10th) the Express played up in Durham in a one day tournament compiling a 1win 2 loss record, losing to the hometown Huskies in the consolation final 5-3.

The teams focus has been to prepare for the upcoming Ontario Minor Hockey Associations (OMHA) playdowns which is like the Stanley Cup playoffs. If you keep winning you could possibly play all the way into the month of March. Winning an OMHA championship is a rare achievement and it is the big prize in representative hockey. Coach Jared Boersma and his staff has done a great job to date, fine tuning the defensive and offensive skills of the team. Consistency, effort, team play ,a hot goal tender, and a little luck are all things we have seen lately from the Oxford Chiropractic Atom Reps. The team hopes to carry these elements forward into the first round of OMHA’s beginning January 11th in Newhamburg for game 1 and again on January 14th at home for game 2.

Come on out, bring your clappers, drums, noise makers and horns and support your hometown teams as they all hope to make the journey to the OMHA finals.
