On Saturday, March 6th, the Ingersoll Dairy Queen Tyke team travelled to Thamesford to face Thamesford Red. The team got off to a rough start, falling behind 2-0 in the first 5 minutes. They quickly came back and tied up the score, and kept it close for the better part of the game. Thamesford eventually built an 8-4 lead, and although Ingersoll Dairy Queen had an offensive push towards the end of the game, they were unable to close the gap completely, with a final score 8-6 for Thamesford. Scoring for Ingersoll were Eddie Ball (2G, 1A), Brennan Rupert (1G, 1A), Keegan Purdy (1G, 2A), Ryan Bruschetto and Ben White with 1 goal each, and Ethan Laporte and Lucas White with 1 assist each. Ingersoll Dairy Queen Tykes next play on Saturday, March 13th in Belmont at 9:00 am. The team will also be participating in a tournament in Parkhill on Monday, March 15th.
