Game 3 - Carmeuse earns a tie in final game of the day.
The U18 Rep C squad headed back to play their final game of the Huntsville Otters Tournament vs Arran-Elderslie. The Express who had three of their team members suspended during the noon hour game, and an injury that kept Noah Muller out of the lineup, the boys needed to gut out this final game short handed.
We turned back the net to Tanner Belore, who played probably his best game of the season as he made save after save, including a few game savers to keep his team in this contest. The game ended in a 1-1 draw as the boys were desperately looking for their first win of the season, but you could tell that they just did not have enough gas at the end of game to seal the deal.
A nice effort by Ethan Cuthbert, who scored our lone goal of the game gave us the lead, but the Ice Dogs were able to tie the affair after a great save by Belore was made but the rebound ended up right on their stick and even though he got some of the rubber, there was just enough momentum to get it in behind him.
We are on the ice next Saturday at home to face the Norwich Knighthawks.
