The boys had a tough weekend last weekend dropping both contests they had, 6-1 vs the Ayr Flames and 6-0 to a very strong St. Georges squad. Despite the outcome, the team as they have all season played hard and gave it all they had. It is great to see them play until the final whistle, and even more impressive as they headed to support their teammate Owen Clarke on Saturday night after the game. Very proud on how they showed up in their red jerseys for the Clarke family.
Heading into this busy little schedule with three games in three nights, the Express hosted the Rockets from Delhi and came away from what I was told was a spirited win, with solid goaltending from Brandon Plaquet leading the way to the boys third victory of the season. Luke Dewit, Cam Freeman, Aaron Lahey and Ethan Cuthbert lit the lamp for the Express, with assists being awarded to Cole McNeil, Cam Freeman and Matthew Mauthe. The boys are right back at it tonight as we head to Aylmer for a date with the Flames, and then a final road game Monday versus a very strong Tavistock squad. Best of luck boys!
