Playdowns semi finals vs Ayr game 2
Last night, the Ingersoll Louie's Pizza and Pasta U15 Express hosted Ayr in game 2 of their semi finals playdown series at the barn in Ingersoll.

It was a big raucous crowd for the game and the season was on the line for the boys.  With the Express moms wearing their sons jersey's proud and leading the cheers, it was an electric atmosphere for the game!

The boys had their backs against the wall in a "do or die" situation. Win or tie to stay alive or lose and the season is over.  With Ayr taking round 1, it was up to the boys to answer the bell for round 2.

The first period was a fast paced physical period with neither team willing to give an inch.  Late in the period, Ayr ran into penalty trouble and the power play went to work.  With the puck deep in the Ayr zone, Ethan Kish fed a pass to Kolten Winkworth who then went rink wide to the captain Jeremy Stiles.  Stiles made no mistake going low blocker side to break the scoreless draw going into the second period.

In the second Ayr came out fast and quickly tied the game.  Both teams had few chances to break the tie as both teams defence and goalies stood tall.  The physicality continued and the pace was off the charts.   The boys had a chance late in the  period but the goal post waa the Ayr goalies best friend.  The score remained deadlocked at one a piece going into the third.

In the final frame, you could cut the tension with a knife.  The pace never slowed down and with just over six minutes remaining Eli North took complete control of the game.   North recieved a beauty pass from Ethan Kish and he went low glove side breaking the tie much to the delight of the hometown faithful.  It was less than a minute later and North stole the puck from a Ayr defender and went in alone going to his backhand and scoring a beauty making it 3-1.  North wasn't done there as he went in alone less then two minutes later.  The goalie made a nice save but Urijah Jewkes found a juicy rebound and buried it making it 4-1 sending the crowd into a frenzy!  The boys went into shut down mode not giving an inch and Jaxon Pinard stood tall leading the Ingersoll Louie's Pizza and Pasta U15 Express to a 4-1 win sending the hometown crowd happy and gearing up for game 3.

With the win, the Ingersoll Louie's Pizza and Pasta U15 Express head to Ayr tonight at 7pm for game 3 tied at a game a piece.  The boys answered the bell and give round two to Ingersoll.  A win and the boys move on, a loss and the boys season is finished and with a tie, game 4 goes tomorrow night back at the barn.

If you have a way to Ayr tonight come on out and support the Ingersoll Louie's PIzza and Pasta Express as they try to continue their journey to the OMHA playdown championships in April.

Good luck boys!!!
